Called Patrick Square the development will have 180,000 square feet of retail and office space. The community will have 415 residential dwellings. There will also be a Clemson University educational facility on the site.
The development has two anchor tenants. Specialty grocer Whole Foods Market will occupy a 60,000 square foot space. Clothing retailer L.L. Bean will occupy a 30,000 square foot space.
The Fontainebleau Hotel was where US President John F. Kennedy stayed when his presidential entourage visited south Florida. The project is expected to open in the second half of 2008. The total renovation cost is reported to be $500 million.
